About the Conference
SYMRESEARCH 2.0, themed “Bioengineering for Global Health”, is an interdisciplinary conference dedicated to addressing global health challenges through the synergy of science and engineering. Anchored in the ethos of “One Earth, One Family, One Future,” the conference will
convene leading scientists, industry experts, medical practitioners, regulatory members, and students for dynamic discussions on innovative bioengineering solutions.
Global health challenges like genetic disorders, infectious diseases, nutritional deficiencies, and non-communicable diseases require innovative, interdisciplinary solutions. By bridging science and engineering, SYMRESEARCH 2.0 aligns with the philosophy of Symbiosis – “वसुधैव कुटुंबकम्” (The World is One Family) – and resonates with the national theme of “One Earth, One Family, One Future,” supporting 12 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Under the theme ‘Bioengineering for Global Health’, this conference will focus on using bioengineering innovations to tackle critical health challenges. From diagnosis to treatment, the event will foster collaborations among scientists, medical practitioners, regulatory bodies, and students worldwide.Key research areas include personalized medicine, microbial research, public health interventions, and climate-related health challenges. SYMRESEARCH 2.0 aims to spark long-term research collaborations, inspire innovations, and contribute to global health equity.

Message from Organising Secretary
Dear Esteemed Delegates,
Warm greetings from Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (FoMHS) and Faculty of Engineering (FoE), Symbiosis International (Deemed University).
It is with immense pleasure, I welcome you to SYMRESEARCH 2.0 ‘Bioengineering for Global Health’, a scientific conference that seeks to explore the symbiosis between biology and engineering that can spark breakthroughs in the understanding, diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
Global health challenges arising from genetic, infectious, nutritional, non-communicable diseases demand innovative solutions that can be achieved through an interdisciplinary approach, bridging Science and Engineering. Such an integrated approach is in sync with the motto of Symbiosis viz. ‘वसुधैव कुटुंबकम्’ - The World is one Family. It also resonates with the National theme of “One Earth, One Family and One Future,” which aligns closely with the principles of equity, sustainability and 12 out of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (1 to 6, 8, 10, 13 to 15 and 17). SYMRESEARCH 2.0 will bring together eminent scientists, industry experts, medical practitioners from both public & private organizations from across diverse geographies, members of regulatory bodies, students for collaborative brainstorming sessions focused on identifying research gaps, advancing national, global health initiatives in personalized medicine, microbial research, public health & environment including climate change, biomedical imaging, tech-enabled healthcare, other emerging fields in bioengineering. This multidisciplinary forum aims to foster collaborations, inspire innovations, encourage knowledge creation and dissemination, potentially leading to the generation of innovative ideas within the thematic research areas and identify practical bioengineering solutions to enhance healthcare outcomes. SYMRESEARCH 2.0 is anticipated to open opportunities for establishing long-term research collaborations both nationally and internationally. Our theme, Re-engineering Health Re-defining Health Empowering Lives encapsulates our commitment to leveraging cutting-edge bioengineering solutions to empower lives and redefine the future of health.
We are looking forward to your active participation in the SYMRESEARCH 2.0.
